I love to celebrate the month of love by belly dancing. February is about celebrating not just romantic love but all types of love: your creative passions, your friends and even yourself! Belly dance is one of my passions and helping people add some unique sparkle to their celebrations brings me happiness and joy. A belly dance show may not be the first thing you think of for Valentine’s Day. However a show is a special way to do something new and fun that can have a lot of great rewards in all sorts of different situations.
First valentine’s day together? We all know how awkward and uncomfortable that can be. Having a short belly dance show is a great way to break the tension. It can get you & your special someone to feel more comfortable and relaxed. If you really want to make her at ease make sure you get up there and shake your own grove. She will feel less self conscious and will probably laugh herself silly. Then enjoy the rest of the night tension free with some great desert! Having a big party or anniversary get together? That’s great! It’s what this holiday is about: having a good time with those you care about around you enjoying life. A belly dance show gets everyone smiling, dancing and enjoying their own groove. It’s a great visual treat that helps people bond and feel silly and great all at the same time. Having the Girls over instead? I also love doing Girl’s Day/ Night In parties. I help get the party started and they keep it going the rest of the night with their crazy energy. Sometimes it’s a lesson, a show or both but these gals are always ready to have a great time and are full of life! So don’t think just because its movies and wine that you cant have bellydance too!
